Vintage Velvet Hazelnut
Vintage Velvet Velvet115
Vintage Velvet Hazelnut is a deep, cocoa-rich velvet with a softly mottled pile that catches the light in subtle horizontal strokes. The colour reads as a warm, dark hazelnut brown with a restrained lustre rather than a glossy finish.

About this fabric
This plain velvet has a dense, low-sheen surface that gives Hazelnut its smooth, shadowed look across the swatch. The 100% polyester composition and 30,000 Martindale rating make it a practical contract fabric, while the back-coated construction is supplied to Cigarette & Match to BS5852. In this colourway, the brown sits firmly in the dark, toasted range, with faint warmer notes appearing where the pile shifts under light. It is wipeable or suitable for professional dry clean in situ, with further care details to be checked in the pattern book.
How to use it
Use Hazelnut on banquettes, armchairs or wall-to-wall seating where a darker neutral will ground the scheme. Its warm brown tone pairs well with natural timber, brass accents and earthy linens.
A rich dark neutral that adds warmth and depth to tailored seating.

Pairs well with
Vintage Velvet Hazelnut is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
