Osaka Muscovado is a deep cocoa brown plain with a softly variegated, brushed look that gives the surface extra warmth and shadow. In the folds it reads darker and almost espresso-toned, with lighter caramel highlights catching on the texture.

About this fabric

This colourway from the Osaka collection is made from 100% polyester and is specified for heavy domestic use, with a 40,000 Martindale rating for upholstery durability. The plain weave visible here has a tactile, slightly napped surface that softens the rich brown base into a mottled cocoa and coffee finish. The back-coated fabric is supplied to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and professional dry clean in situ is recommended for care. Its warm depth and durable handle make it ideal for seating that needs a grounded, tailored look without appearing flat.

How to use it

Use Muscovado on a sofa, occasional chair or banquette where its dark warm brown can anchor lighter walls and timber finishes. It pairs especially well with tan leather, tobacco velvet and muted brass accents.

A rich, textural neutral that brings depth to tailored seating and works well with warm wood tones.
