Osaka Sapphire

Osaka Fabric07

Osaka Sapphire is a richly dark blue plain with a subtly nubby surface and soft flecks of lighter yarn catching the light. The swatch reads as a deep, inky sapphire rather than a bright blue, giving it a refined, grounded feel.

About this fabric

This Osaka colourway is woven in 100% polyester and specified for heavy domestic use, with a 40,000 Martindale rating that makes it a practical choice for well-used seating. The plain design has a tactile, slightly irregular texture, with tiny pale highlights threaded through the dense blue ground. Visually, the colour sits between navy and midnight teal, so it feels cool, глубок and quietly luxurious rather than glossy. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and professional dry clean in situ is recommended for care.

How to use it

Use Osaka Sapphire on a sofa, armchair or banquette where its dark blue tone can anchor a scheme without feeling flat. It pairs especially well with pale oak, brushed metal and softened neutrals for contrast.

A dark, textural blue that adds depth and sophistication to tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
