About this fabric

This colourway reads as a cool, muted blue with grey undertones, so the surface feels calm and substantial in the light. The visible small-scale weave adds texture and a slightly nubbly hand, which suits the fabric’s Heavy Domestic usage. It is composed of 52% Polyester and 48% Cotton, with a Martindale rating of 40,000, making it a practical choice for everyday seating. Supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, it has the reassuring performance expected of an upholstery textile with a neat, understated appearance.

How to use it

Use Paolo Sapphire on a sofa, banquette or dining chairs where a cooler blue anchor is needed. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky neutrals and brushed metal finishes for a crisp, contemporary scheme.

A cool, grounded blue that gives upholstery a calm, tailored finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
