About this fabric

This plain velvet has a compact, tactile pile that gives the navy shade a rich, almost blackened appearance in low light, while revealing cooler blue notes as it catches the light. Made from 100% polyester, it is specified for contract use and offers a durable 30,000 Martindale, making it well suited to busy upholstered pieces. The fabric is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, with other treatments available on request. After care is wipeable or professional dry clean in situ, with further guidance available in the pattern book. Its smooth, low-reflective texture keeps the colour elegant rather than shiny.

How to use it

Use this navy on structured sofas, banquettes or accent chairs where the dark tone can anchor a scheme. It pairs especially well with pale woods, brushed brass and crisp neutrals for a smart, tailored look.
