About this fabric

This Ashdown fabric is 100% cotton and measures approximately 133cm wide, with a vertical repeat of 49cm in a half-drop and an horizontal repeat of about 89cm. The design shows trailing branches, figures and floral details in a cool aqua tone that sits gently on the neutral background. The colourway has a washed, fresh quality rather than a saturated blue, which gives the chinoiserie motif a refined, slightly antique feel. Its cotton handle and balanced scale make it suitable for both upholstery and drapery, depending on the room and finish. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are also supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this pale aqua toile on an occasional chair, bedroom curtains or a dressing room where the cool blue will read crisp against painted timber or white walls. It pairs especially well with chalky whites, soft greys and aged brass, letting the pattern remain the main feature.

A crisp aqua toile that suits both tailored upholstery and elegant drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
