About this fabric

Part of J Brown’s Vintage Velvet collection, this colourway is a 100% polyester velvet specified for contract use and tested to 30,000 Martindale. The swatch reads as a cool, soft pearl ivory with a faint silvery cast, so the pile reflects light with a subtle sheen instead of a deep, saturated lustre. The plain design keeps the focus on the texture and the delicate tonal movement across the surface. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, with wipeable or professional dry clean in situ care noted for practical use.

How to use it

Use Pearl on tailored sofas, banquettes, or deep cushions where its pale sheen can brighten darker woods and brass details. It also works well in calm, layered schemes with chalky neutrals, dove grey, or warm stone.

A luminous neutral that lifts formal seating and pairs easily with timber, stone, or metallic accents.
