About this fabric

This substantial 498gsm velvet has a compact, tactile surface, with the small organic motifs picked out in subtly darker taupe-grey against the chalk ground. The close pattern creates a finely textured impression across the swatch, while the pale colourway keeps the overall effect quiet and light-reflective. It has a 140cm usable width and a pattern repeat of 34.2cm vertically by 34.9cm horizontally. The fabric is recorded at 66 threads per centimetre, supporting the dense appearance visible here.

How to use it

Use Lacuna Chalk on a tailored sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its cool ivory tone can brighten the room without looking clinical. Pair it with warm timber, brushed metal and soft grey-beige textiles to bring out the taupe definition within its small-scale pattern.

A substantial chalk-toned velvet with a finely scaled pebble texture for refined upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
