Fawn Fossil

Reflect Velvets VelvetHAF0542-06

Fawn Fossil combines a warm fossil-taupe ground with dense, dark flecking across the velvet surface. The close pattern reads as softly organic, with the deep marks adding definition to the muted base.

About this fabric

The short velvet pile gives this colourway a gentle light-catching softness, while the ink-brown speckles keep the surface visually crisp. Its warm taupe tone feels earthy and subdued rather than pale or cool, creating noticeably more depth than a plain neutral velvet. At 514 gsm, the cloth has a substantial handle, with a 141 cm usable width and 65 threads per cm. The small repeat measures 16.1 cm vertically by 17.6 cm horizontally, allowing the stippled motif to continue neatly across upholstered panels.

How to use it

Use Fawn Fossil on a generous sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its dusty taupe ground can warm the room without becoming dominant. Pair it with dark timber, aged bronze and creamy neutrals to echo the contrast between the soft base and its deep organic flecks.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
