Juto Black Earth

Reflect Fabrics FabricHAF0544-04

Juto Black Earth combines a deep charcoal-taupe ground with tightly drawn ivory lines that shift into irregular zigzags across the surface. The close pattern gives the swatch a finely textured, almost rippling appearance.

About this fabric

This is a substantial 445gsm woven fabric, with 41 threads per centimetre contributing to its densely worked surface. Its 137cm usable width makes the fabric practical for upholstery applications, while the pattern measures 39cm vertically by 46cm horizontally. Fine pale lines move in broken, angular waves over the dark earthy ground, creating visible tonal variation as the weave catches the light. The result is a grounded, graphic colourway with more warmth and depth than a flat black.

How to use it

Use Black Earth on a modern armchair, sofa or dining seat where its charcoal-taupe depth can anchor lighter timber, stone and brushed metal. Pair it with warm ivory accents to pick up the fine pale lines without competing with the moving pattern.

A dense, earthy taupe ground and fine ivory zigzags bring movement to contemporary upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Juto Black Earth without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
