About this fabric

The 605gsm velvet has a pale taupe-grey ground, while the slightly darker chevron lines give the design definition without introducing strong contrast. The repeating pattern measures 4.1cm vertically and 8.6cm horizontally, creating a neat medium-scale geometric effect. With 71 threads per centimetre and a 131.5cm usable width, it presents as a substantial, carefully constructed upholstery cloth. The light pearl tone shifts gently between silvery grey and warm taupe as the pile catches the light.

How to use it

Pair this pearl-taupe velvet with chalky whites, pale oak and brushed nickel for a quiet contemporary scheme, or use it to soften darker walnut and charcoal furniture. It is especially effective on a tailored armchair, headboard or compact sofa where the chevron can be read clearly.

Use this softly luminous pearl-taupe velvet on statement seating, where its tonal chevron catches changing light.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
