Perplex Aqua

Reflect Velvets VelvetHAF0416-09

Perplex Aqua combines a cool, misted aqua velvet ground with a fine repeating chevron lattice. Its soft pile catches the light gently, giving the blue-green shade subtle depth rather than a bright, saturated finish.

About this fabric

This substantial 605gsm velvet has a softly lustrous surface, with warm taupe-grey geometric lines tracing tightly repeated angular chevrons across the aqua ground. The pattern measures 4.1cm vertically and 8.6cm horizontally, creating a neat, rhythmic scale that reads clearly without overwhelming the colour. With 71 threads per centimetre and a 131.5cm usable width, it is well suited to upholstery projects where the tactile pile and structured motif can be appreciated up close. The 35m standard length supports coordinated cutting across a larger scheme.

How to use it

Use Perplex Aqua on a modern armchair, headboard or occasional sofa where its cool blue-green tone can soften pale timber, warm grey and brushed metal. Repeat the taupe-grey linework through piping, cushions or a geometric rug for a composed layered look.

Use this cool blue-aqua velvet to bring quiet colour and graphic structure to contemporary upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
