Malachite Japanese Ink

Reflect Wallcoverings 1 WallpaperHAW0283-02

Malachite Japanese Ink is shown here as a cool, blue-ink interpretation of an abstract, meandering pattern on an ivory ground. Softly feathered edges and mottled shading give the winding bands a smoky, visually inked appearance.

About this fabric

This wallpaper combines a warm ivory background with dense, irregular bands of desaturated blue-green that fold into a continuous, maze-like wave pattern. The softly blurred edges and grainy tonal variation create depth, with the darker ink shade standing out clearly against the pale ground. It has a 68.6 cm usable width, a 10.05 m standard length and a 176 gsm weight. The supplied pattern repeat is 32 cm vertically and 0 cm horizontally, allowing the design to read as a continuous side-to-side field.

How to use it

The cool smoky blue-green works especially well with chalky ivory, pale timber and dark blue accents. Use it where the repeating wave motif can provide movement without introducing a bright or high-contrast colour.

Use the cool ink-blue and ivory palette to bring definition to a study, hallway or softly layered living space.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
