Cestino Ocean

Sgraffito II FabricHAF0107-03

Cestino Ocean is a richly textured woven design built from a chalky cream ground and irregular touches of ocean teal, blue-violet and taupe. Its cool, softly faded colour mix gives the close-set surface a collected, artisanal appearance.

About this fabric

The small, broken grid is formed by raised-looking woven bars and clustered flecks, with turquoise-teal passages interrupted by indigo, muted violet, taupe and occasional warm brown. At 780gsm with 27 threads per cm, the fabric has a substantial, compact handle suited to upholstery rather than a fluid curtain cloth. The usable width is 138cm, while the 0cm vertical and 0cm horizontal repeats allow the mottled surface to be positioned without matching a repeating pattern. A standard length of 25m makes it practical for coordinating multiple upholstered pieces in the same Ocean colourway.

How to use it

Use Cestino Ocean on a generous armchair, bench or sofa against warm ivory walls, letting the cool teal and blue-violet flecks bring depth without overwhelming the cream ground. Repeat its taupe and brown notes in timber, leather or softly neutral accessories.

Use the cool ocean-teal and chalky cream mix on relaxed upholstery, where its dense woven texture can be appreciated up close.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
