Cestino Flameneco

Sgraffito II FabricHAF0107-04

Cestino Flameneco is a dense, tactile weave built from small irregular blocks of mauve, ochre, navy, lilac and warm cream. Its softly mottled surface gives the colourway a lively, layered appearance rather than a flat ground.

About this fabric

The close-set weave combines berry pinks, plum, lavender, blue, ochre and rust with pale cream threads, creating a softly weathered mosaic effect. At 780gsm and 138cm wide, this is a substantial textile well suited to upholstery. The design has a 0cm vertical and 0cm horizontal repeat, so the small woven marks run continuously across the cloth without a set pattern match. With 27 threads per centimetre, the surface has a compact, textured character that catches light across the varied coloured yarns.

How to use it

Use Cestino Flameneco on a statement armchair, footstool or occasional sofa, balancing its mauve-and-plum depth with warm timber, aged brass and quiet cream upholstery elsewhere.

Use this richly coloured weave to add tactile pattern and layered colour to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
