Aiko Denim

Sgraffito II FabricHAF0600-01

Aiko Denim from Harlequin’s Sgraffito II collection pairs a soft cream ground with closely spaced, irregular waves in a cool, pale denim blue. The fine horizontal motif gives the surface a gently hand-drawn, textural character.

About this fabric

At 649 gsm, Aiko Denim is a substantial woven fabric suited to upholstery, with a usable width of 149 cm. Its 29 cm vertical and 19 cm horizontal pattern repeat create a small-scale field of broken, wave-like bands rather than a bold central motif. The denim-blue marks are muted and slightly greyed against the warm cream base, so the colourway reads calm and airy rather than saturated. A specification of 34.5 threads per cm supports the visibly dense, tactile construction.

How to use it

Use Aiko Denim on a relaxed armchair, headboard or sofa where its cool pale blue-grey waves can soften cream, chalk, stone and light timber schemes. Pair it with plain linens or brushed textures to let the subtle horizontal pattern provide the movement.

Its cool pale denim tone and fine horizontal movement suit relaxed upholstery with a light, textural feel.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
