Cestino Liquorice

Sgraffito II FabricHAF0107-07

Cestino Liquorice has a near-black brown ground with irregular cream, taupe and muted brown flecks woven through its visibly raised, chunky surface. The close texture gives this dark colourway depth rather than a flat solid appearance.

About this fabric

This dense 780gsm woven fabric is suited to upholstery, with a 138cm usable width for practical cutting. Its near-black liquorice tone is softened by small ivory, taupe and warm brown yarn accents, creating a peppered surface that shifts gently as the light catches the raised threads. The fabric has 27 threads per centimetre and no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, so the textured effect can be positioned freely across a design. A standard length is 25 metres.

How to use it

Use Cestino Liquorice on a structured armchair, sofa or dining seat where its almost-black brown depth can anchor lighter timber, ivory boucle and warm metal accents. The small flecked weave also works well for bringing tactile contrast to a predominantly neutral room.

A dense, dark woven texture with softly contrasting cream and taupe flecks for tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
