Ima Liquorice

Maru Fabric003

Ima Liquorice has a strong geometric presence, with dark diamond shapes set against a pale ground and lifted by small cream floral marks. The overall effect is crisp and graphic, but softened by the linen texture and hand-drawn feel of the repeat.

About this fabric

This colourway of Maru is made from 100% linen and is specified for fixed upholstery, with a Martindale rub test of 30,000 and a General Domestic upholstery grade. The swatch shows a charcoal-black ground with cream floral medallions and gentle blush accents, which gives the pattern a smart, slightly softened contrast rather than a stark monochrome look. Its approx. 137cm width and 40.5cm half-drop repeat make it well suited to tailored upholstered pieces where the diamond layout can be carefully planned. It also carries an FR rating of A, conforming to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1.

How to use it

Use it on a compact chair, ottoman or bench where the dark ground can ground lighter walls or upholstery nearby. The blush and cream details work especially well with warm neutrals, aged wood and muted painted finishes.

A crisp diamond motif that reads tailored and versatile on a charcoal ground.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
