Tokyo Ebony
Tokyo FabricL9440-17
Tokyo Ebony is a deep, almost inky plain with a very subtle woven texture that only reveals itself up close. Its dark surface reads refined rather than flat, with a soft, low-key depth.

About this fabric
This Larsen fabric is woven in a balanced blend of 46% cotton, 29% viscose, 14% linen and 11% polyester, with a width of approximately 147cm and no directional repeat. The Ebony colourway is a near-black shade with a muted graphite undertone, giving it a restrained, elegant look rather than a glossy true black. Across the surface, the fine weave catches light in tiny variations, so the cloth has a gentle, tactile grain instead of a solid block finish. It suits upholstery and drapery where a dark, tailored backdrop is wanted, and the Q 8 + T 3 care code plus √BM fire code add practical specification detail for contract-minded use.
How to use it
Pair this shade with pale oak, plaster white or warm brass to keep the room grounded and sophisticated. It also works well as a dark counterpoint to textured neutrals, where the woven surface can add quiet depth.
Use for sleek upholstery or lined drapery where a deep, understated finish is wanted.

Pairs well with
Tokyo Ebony is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
