Omega Velvet 4 Pitch

Omega Velvet 4 Velvet053

Pitch is an exceptionally dark velvet that reads as almost black, with only the faintest warm undertone where the pile catches the light. Its surface looks dense and soft, giving the colourway a deep, enveloping presence.

About this fabric

From Linwood’s Omega Velvet 4 collection, this cloth is a velvet with a plain repeat and a practical 137cm width. The finish is a near-black shade that stays visually quiet rather than glossy, so the texture does the talking as light skims across the pile. With a composition of 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose, it is specified for Curtains, Loose Cover Upholstery and Fixed Upholstery. The 100,000 Martindale rub test and contract/general domestic upholstery rating make it a strong choice where durability matters, while the A FR rating to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 adds reassurance for use in demanding interiors.

How to use it

Use Pitch on a tailored sofa or dining chair to ground a room with a sharp, architectural edge. It also works well as a heavy curtain colour where the near-black tone can frame lighter walls and metal finishes.

A deep, low-sheen black velvet that brings a refined, dramatic finish to seating and curtains alike.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
