About this fabric

This Linwood velvet is woven in a robust 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose blend, and it is specified for curtains, loose cover upholstery and fixed upholstery. The image shows a clear, even plain velvet with a dense pile that gives the surface a smooth, plush appearance rather than a printed or textured pattern. In this Poppy colourway, the red is bright and intensely warm, with darker shading across the pile that adds richness and movement. With a 100,000 Martindale rub test and contract/general domestic upholstery grade, it is well suited to hard-working interiors as well as decorative schemes. It is also British Standard FR rated to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1.

How to use it

Use this poppy red on an accent chair, ottoman or banquette where the colour can be the focal point. It pairs especially well with charcoal, warm neutrals and dark woods for a dramatic, tailored look.

A vivid poppy velvet that brings instant drama to upholstery and statement curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
