About this fabric

This colourway from Linwood’s Omega IV collection is a plain velvet with a dense, smooth surface and a distinctly luxurious finish. It is composed of 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose, and it has a robust 100,000 Martindale rub test alongside contract and general domestic upholstery suitability. At 137cm wide, it works well for loose cover and fixed upholstery as well as curtains, while the BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 cigarette and match rating adds reassurance for specification-led interiors. In Royal, the fabric appears as a dark jewel purple with a velvety depth that softens the colour rather than flattening it.

How to use it

Use this shade to ground a scheme with walnut timber, brass details or pale stone, where the purple can feel especially opulent. It also makes a striking curtain colour, with the pile giving a deep, shadowy finish when the light moves across it.
