Hinako Prune
Maru Fabric006
Hinako Prune pairs a deep plum ground with a repeating stylised floral motif in soft cream and blush pink. The woven linen surface gives the design a slightly rustic, tactile look that suits the colourway’s warm, historic feel.

About this fabric
Woven in 100% linen, this Maru fabric is supplied at 137cm wide and is specified for fixed upholstery with a 30,000 Martindale rub test and General Domestic upholstery grade. The prune ground reads as a dark wine-brown with a muted red-violet depth, allowing the pale cream motif to stand out crisply while the blush highlights soften the overall effect. The 38cm half-drop repeat gives the pattern a measured, rhythmic spread across the cloth, and the visible linen slub adds character without losing clarity. It is FR rated to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0, 1 and can be machine washed at 30C, though 3% shrinkage should be allowed, with dry clean also noted for after care.
How to use it
Use this colourway on a compact armchair, banquette or occasional stool where the prune ground can bring warmth and the pale motif can read clearly. It also works well against aged brass, walnut and muted plaster tones for a grounded, slightly traditional scheme.
A rich prune linen with softly aged cream and blush motifs for tailored seating.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hinako Prune without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
