About this fabric

This plain velvet colourway has a muted lavender-mauve depth that feels cool and refined rather than bright or sugary. The pile gives it a gentle light catch, so the shade shifts subtly from dusty plum to soft taupe-mauve across the surface. It is woven in 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose, and the cloth is a practical 137cm wide. With a Martindale abrasion result of 100,000 and upholstery grading for both Contract and General Domestic use, it is well suited to hard-working seating as well as curtains and loose covers. The plain repeat and stain-resistant finish keep the look clean and versatile, while the BS5852 Source 0 and 1 fire rating adds reassurance for residential and contract interiors.

How to use it

Use Haze to soften dark timber, brushed metal or stone finishes, where its muted purple-grey note will add colour without dominating. It works especially well on tailored upholstery, or as a curtain velvet in calm, layered schemes.

A soft dusky tone that adds depth without feeling heavy.
