About this fabric

This plain velvet has a smooth, closely packed surface that catches the light with a subtle tonal shift rather than a strong pile mark. In this Green Tea colourway, the shade sits between soft olive and sage, giving it an earthy, restrained character that feels more relaxed than jewel-toned green. The fabric is made from 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose, and it is suitable for contract and general domestic upholstery as well as curtains and loose covers. It has a 100,000 Martindale rub test, an approximate width of 137cm, and conforms to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 for fire safety. Care is straightforward but specific: dry clean, or wash with care at 30C, and do not iron or tumble dry.

How to use it

Use this muted green velvet on an armchair, ottoman or upholstered headboard where its soft sage tone can bring a grounded, natural calm. It pairs especially well with pale oak, warm white and aged brass, with enough depth to hold its own in smart interiors.
