Woven in 100% linen, this Maru colourway has the dry, natural handle you expect from a linen fabric, and it is specified for fixed upholstery with a 30,000 Martindale rub test and General Domestic upholstery grade. The design is a medium-scale, repeated floral medallion with a 38cm half-drop repeat, shown here in muted sage green with creamy off-white patterning and fine grey-green outlines. The overall effect is soft and slightly herbal rather than bright, so the motif sits comfortably on the cloth instead of shouting from it. It is also FR rated to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, and can be machine washed at 30C with allowance for 3% shrinkage, then dry cleaned if preferred.

Use this colourway on a neat armchair, a bedroom bench or a country-style banquette where the pale sage tone can calm stronger woods and painted joinery. It also works well beside ivory, putty and weathered oak, letting the pattern read as a gentle layer rather than a statement block.
