About this fabric
This colourway in the Maru collection is woven in 100% linen and has a clearly visible natural grain that suits its softly aged, sun-washed look. The pattern repeats at approximately 38cm in a half-drop, creating a classic damask rhythm with pale cream ornament and delicate green-blue sketching at the edges. With a Martindale rub test of 30,000 and a general domestic upholstery grade, it is a practical choice for fixed upholstery as well as everyday decorative seating. The fabric is also machine washable at 30C, allowing for 3% shrinkage, and should be dry cleaned after care if preferred. At 137cm wide and FR rated to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0, 1, this is a versatile linen with a refined, understated finish.
How to use it
Use Hinako Barley on an armchair, bench or dining seat where the warm beige ground can soften darker timber and brass. It pairs especially well with chalk white, sage and muted olive accents for a calm, layered room.
