About this fabric

Part of the Carrera collection by J Brown, this fabric is a plain design with 39 colourways and a robust 80,000 martindale rating, making it well suited to contract upholstery. It is made from 100% polyester and supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, with other treatments available on request. In this aubergine colourway, the surface reads as a dark berry purple with warm wine notes, softened by the woven texture rather than a glossy finish. Professional clean in situ or washable at 40℃, it offers a practical way to bring a deeper, more atmospheric colour into commercial seating.

How to use it

Use Carrera Aubergine on banquettes, lounge chairs or feature stools where a dark plum tone can hold its own against brass, walnut and stone. It also works well with oatmeal and soft grey fabrics to keep the room feeling tailored rather than heavy.
