Albany Damson

Albany and Moray FabricCCF0234-06

In Albany Damson, the Albany and Moray collection's woven surface appears as a richly shaded damson-plum field. Intersecting slub lines create a tactile crosshatch, with lighter threads catching across the dark ground.

About this fabric

Albany Damson is a dense, crosshatched woven textile in a deep damson shade, balancing plum-purple depth with a muted red undertone. Fine horizontal and vertical slubs break up the surface, giving the colour a tactile, softly irregular finish rather than a printed motif. At 517 gsm, it has the substantial presence of an upholstery-suitable cloth. The 139 cm usable width, 40 m standard length and 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats make it straightforward to cut across plain-looking areas.

How to use it

Use this deep plum-red colourway to add a grounded, enveloping note to an upholstered armchair, sofa or headboard. Its muted damson tone works especially well beside warm timber, aged brass and quieter neutral textiles.

Use this weighty damson weave to bring rich plum depth and tactile texture to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
