Omega Velvet 4 Ruby is a richly saturated velvet in a deep ruby red, with a smooth, light-catching pile that reads luxurious and warm. The colour has a near-burgundy depth in the shadows, while the raised surface softens to a brighter red where the light lands.

About this fabric
This plain velvet has a dense, refined handle and a subtle directional sheen that gives the ruby shade extra depth across the surface. It is supplied as a 137cm-wide fabric and is made from 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose, with a hard-wearing 100,000 Martindale rub test and contract/general domestic upholstery suitability. The colour is a grounded red with a warm wine-like undertone, making it feel more tailored and substantial than a bright cherry velvet. It is also FR rated to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, and the aftercare includes dry clean and delicate 30°C washing guidance.
How to use it
Use this ruby velvet on a sofa, occasional chair or banquette where its depth can glow against oak, walnut or dark painted joinery. It also works well for formal curtains, especially in rooms with brass, stone or muted neutral finishes.
Rich enough for statement seating or tailored curtains with a polished finish.
