Highclere Bordeaux

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Highclere Bordeaux pairs a warm ivory ground with a woven gold lattice and stylised floral motifs in deep bordeaux, teal and olive. The result feels classic and decorative, with enough colour contrast to give the design clear definition.

About this fabric

This fabric measures 137cm wide and has a 23.5cm vertical pattern repeat, making the repeating trellis easy to plan around in a room scheme. The composition of 53% polyester, 20% cotton, 15% linen and 12% viscose gives the cloth a grounded, woven handle that suits decorative soft furnishing use. In this colourway the bordeaux motif reads warm and saturated, lifted by teal foliage and a soft olive accent against a pale background. The gold lattice adds a slightly formal note and helps the pattern feel structured rather than busy.

How to use it

Use Highclere Bordeaux on upholstery pieces where you want pattern with a traditional edge, or make it into curtains for a room that needs a little colour without losing lightness. It works especially well with walnut wood, aged brass and quiet neutral walls.

Rich enough for statement upholstery, but the lighter ground keeps it elegant on curtains too.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Highclere Bordeaux without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
