Maison Fabric123

Maison Oxblood is a richly shaded plain with a velvet-like surface that catches the light in dark ruby highlights. The folds read deep, moody and polished rather than bright or brash.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a dense oxblood red with a blackened depth in the shadows and a soft, reflective sheen on the raised folds. The plain design keeps the focus on the fabric’s tactile surface, which appears smooth and substantial in the drape of the swatch. Made from 100% polyester and rated for Heavy Domestic use, it has an 80,000 Martindale result that suits hard-working seating. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and professional dry clean in situ is recommended for care.

How to use it

Use Maison Oxblood on a tailored armchair, banquette or deep cushions where the red tone can glow against walnut, brass or charcoal. Its dark, wine-like finish works especially well in rooms that need a formal focal point without a bright colour clash.

A rich, dramatic velvet look for smart seating or statement cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
