About this fabric

This colourway shows a dense, even plain weave with a quietly textured face rather than a shiny finish. The bordeaux red sits in a dark, burgundy family, giving the fabric a warm, sober depth that feels more sophisticated than bright red. Made from 100% polyester and specified for contract use, it offers an 80,000 Martindale rating, making it suitable for demanding seating schemes. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and can be professionally dry cleaned in situ or washed at 40°C, subject to the pattern book instructions.

How to use it

Use Modena Bordeaux on banquettes, dining chairs or occasional upholstery where a deep red will bring warmth without looking glossy. It pairs well with walnut, bronze and charcoal, and the textured finish helps the colour feel especially grounded.

A rich, cocooning red that adds depth to statement seating and contract schemes.
