Wisley Maroon

Sherwood Collection FabricWISLEY

Wisley Maroon shows a classic damask pattern in a dark, wine-toned maroon with a warm brown cast. The design reads rich and ornamental, with the motif standing out in deeper brown-black contrast across the woven ground.

About this fabric

This fabric is supplied as drapes only and has a substantial handle at 501 grams per linear metre, making it well suited to full curtains and formal window treatments. The cloth is made from 80% polyester and 20% cotton, with a width of 137 cm and a traditional woven finish. In this colourway, the maroon ground is muted rather than bright, giving the damask a tailored, almost antique depth. The repeating pattern measures 34 cm vertically and 35 cm horizontally, creating a large-scale decorative rhythm that feels especially suited to classic interiors.

How to use it

Use Wisley Maroon for lined curtains, pelmets or interlined drapes where the dark red ground can bring warmth without looking vivid. It pairs well with aged brass, walnut, and creamy neutrals for a formal but lived-in scheme.

A rich, traditional damask for elegant curtains and layered period interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Wisley Maroon without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
