Wisley Rosewood

Sherwood Collection FabricWISLEY

Wisley Rosewood shows a classic damask pattern in a softened rosewood red, with the motif sitting clearly against a slightly lighter ground. The overall effect is traditional and warm, with enough tonal contrast to keep the design legible from a distance.

About this fabric

Part of the Sherwood Collection by Ashley Wilde, this fabric is composed of 80% polyester and 20% cotton and is supplied for drapes only. The image shows a traditional damask in layered rose and brown-red tones, with the motif reading as more subdued than bright, which gives the surface a settled, heritage feel. The 137cm width and 34cm by 35cm pattern repeat suit full-length curtain work, while the 501gsm weight suggests a substantial hanging quality. Woven in India, it has a visually dense, slightly textured look that softens the light and enhances the depth of the rosewood colourway.

How to use it

Use Wisley Rosewood for formal curtains in a study, dining room or period bedroom where its warm red-brown tone can bring depth without feeling vivid. It pairs especially well with dark timber, aged brass and pale stone or linen accents.

Pair with antique woods and warm neutrals for a rich, heritage look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Wisley Rosewood without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
