Wisley Fawn presents a traditional damask in a soft fawn and taupe palette. The pattern reads clearly against the lighter ground, giving the fabric a quietly formal, heritage feel.

About this fabric

This Ashley Wilde fabric from the Sherwood Collection is specified for drapes only and is woven in 80% polyester and 20% cotton. The design has a substantial handle at 501 g/lm, and the 34 cm vertical repeat with a 35 cm horizontal repeat gives the damask a balanced, architectural rhythm. Visually, Wisley Fawn combines a pale oatmeal ground with an earthy taupe motif, so the scrolls and foliage feel defined without looking harsh. The overall effect is warm, muted and traditional, with enough depth in the motif to hold its own on full-length curtains or interlined windows. Made in India, it suits period-inspired schemes that need a calm neutral rather than a bright decorative statement.

How to use it

Use Wisley Fawn for formal curtains, interlined drapes or layered window treatments where the soft beige ground can lift darker timber or painted joinery. It works especially well with antique brass, aged wood and textured linens in warm stone tones.

A refined neutral with enough pattern presence to suit classic interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Wisley Fawn without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
