Namibia Jute

Serengeti Collection FabricNAMIBIA

Namibia Jute is a quietly textural neutral with a softly mottled beige surface and a gentle, natural-looking warmth. The finish reads matte and understated, with tiny flecks that give the cloth movement without introducing a pattern.

About this fabric

Part of the Serengeti Collection by Ashley Wilde, this fabric is specified for drapes only and is woven in 85% polyester and 15% cotton. It has a width of 136cm and a substantial weight of 314 grams per linear metre, giving the cloth enough body to hang neatly while keeping the look relaxed. Visually, Namibia Jute appears as a pale jute-inspired beige with a peppered, linen-like texture and subtle tonal variation across the face. With zero vertical and horizontal repeat, it reads as a true texture rather than a pattern, making the surface feel calm and continuous.

How to use it

Use this soft beige tone for curtains in rooms that need warmth without heaviness, especially alongside oak, clay, or chalk-white finishes. Its dry, natural texture pairs well with layered linens and other muted neutrals.

A calm, textural neutral that works beautifully in softly lit rooms.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
