Puma Slate

Serengeti Collection FabricPUMA

Puma Slate has a cool, slate-grey ground lifted by a soft, lighter woven motif that reads like a subtle animal-inspired texture. The overall effect is restrained and contemporary, with enough movement in the surface to keep curtains visually interesting.

About this fabric

Woven in 53% polyester and 47% cotton, this Ashley Wilde fabric is specified for drapes only and has a substantial 312 gsm handle. The 140cm width and 36cm vertical by 35cm horizontal repeat suit a considered curtain make, while the India-made construction gives the cloth a distinctly woven, textural character. In this colourway, the grey base sits firmly in the cooler end of the spectrum, with pale silver accents that pick up the light and soften the design. The result is a smart, quietly atmospheric fabric that feels grounded rather than stark.

How to use it

Use Puma Slate for full-length curtains, roman blinds or layered interlinings in rooms with pale plaster, oak or blackened metal. Its cool grey tone works especially well where you want texture without adding warmth or bold colour.

The cool slate ground and pale slubbed motif give it a tailored, understated finish for layered curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
