Safari Slate

Serengeti Collection FabricSAFARI

Safari Slate sets a dark, atmospheric backdrop for the Serengeti Collection’s zebra, giraffe and palm motifs. The charcoal-grey ground gives the design a cooler, more tailored feel than a brighter safari print.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, this fabric is specified for general domestic upholstery and drapes, with a 25,000 rub test, 140cm width and a substantial 546 grams per linear metre. The print shows wildlife and botanicals in soft pale tones against a charcoal slate ground, so the animals stand out without looking overly bright. The overall effect is muted and sophisticated, with the leaf and animal outlines reading almost chalky against the deep background. Its mid-weight handle and patterned scale make it practical for statement seating, cushions or curtains where you want the motif to remain clear.

How to use it

Use Safari Slate to anchor a scheme with warm timber, rattan and brushed metal, letting the slate ground keep the room feeling grounded. It works especially well in a study, snug or scheme that needs a graphic animal print without a loud colour hit.

A moody slate ground that lets the safari motif feel tailored and striking.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
