About this fabric

Part of Ashley Wilde’s Portofino Collection, Lucio Claret is a plain fabric woven in 88% polyester and 12% nylon, with a substantial 250gsm weight and a 40,000 rub test rating. The cloth has a fine, linear rib running vertically through the surface, while the rich claret colouring reads dark, warm and slightly smoky rather than bright red. At 145cm wide, it is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, making it a practical choice for demanding interiors. The overall effect is smart and grounded, with enough texture to stop the plain shade from feeling flat.

How to use it

This claret works well on tailored seating, dining chairs or banquettes where the colour can hold its depth against wood, brass or walnut. It also makes an elegant drape colour in schemes with warm neutrals, oxblood leather or muted berry accents.
