Woodcote Stripe Red/Green
Ashdown FabricF3603-01
Woodcote Stripe Red/Green combines warm brick-red stripes with an olive-green accent on a natural linen ground. The result is an orderly, vintage-leaning stripe with a soft, dry hand visible in the weave.

About this fabric
Woodcote Stripe Red/Green from the Ashdown collection by Colefax and Fowler is woven in 84% Linen and 16% Viscose, with a width of approximately 135cm and a repeat of V 7cm / H 33cm approx. In this colourway, the broad red bands read as earthy brick rather than bright scarlet, giving the design a settled, heritage character against the pale flax ground. Narrow green pinstripes frame each column and stop the palette from feeling flat, while the woven leaf motifs in the stripe bring a small-scale decorative rhythm. The visible texture suggests a natural, slightly slubby cloth that sits comfortably in a refined interior without looking formal or stiff.
How to use it
Use this stripe to add structure to a country drawing room, dining chair or banquette, especially alongside timber, brass and aged leather. The brick red and olive tones look particularly handsome with cream paintwork and muted sage accessories.
A smart linen stripe that pairs well with oak, worn leather and muted botanical accents.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Woodcote Stripe Red/Green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
