About this fabric

This fabric from the Albeck collection by Colefax and Fowler is a 145cm-wide cloth made from 57% viscose, 21% cotton, 12% linen and 10% polyester. With no visible repeat and a zero centimetre vertical and horizontal repeat, it has the calm look of a plain but the image shows a finely speckled weave that keeps the surface lively. The tomato shade is muted by brown and terracotta undertones, so it feels warm and grounded rather than sharp or glossy. That blend of fibres gives the fabric a slightly nubbled, cloth-like handle that suits structured upholstery especially well.

How to use it

Use Marldon Tomato on a sofa, banquette or accent chair where its warm red tone can add richness without overwhelming the room. It pairs neatly with oak, tobacco leather and quiet neutrals, especially in schemes that need colour with a classic, tailored feel.
