Birch Stripe Red

Ashmead Block Prints FabricF4752-03

Birch Stripe Red pairs a warm, muted red with a natural linen ground in a fine vertical stripe. The repeating leaf-like motif gives the swatch a gentle, tailored rhythm rather than a bold contrast.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this fabric has a dry, relaxed handle that suits light upholstery as well as curtains and soft furnishings. The vertical repeat measures approximately V 7cm / H 7cm, creating a neat, steady stripe effect across the cloth. In this colourway, the red reads as softened brick rather than bright scarlet, sitting against the pale ground with an earthy, slightly faded feel. The small-scale pattern and 143cm approximate width make it practical for both structured and decorative schemes, and the Q 8 + W 3 care code plus √BM fire code add useful specification detail.

How to use it

Use Birch Stripe Red where you want a room to feel warm but controlled: on dining chairs, café curtains or gathered blinds. The muted red and linen base work especially well with oak, painted wood and creamy neutrals.

Use to bring a warm, tailored note to cushions, curtains or a small upholstered piece.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
