About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, Ashmead Old Blue has the light, slightly slubby look you expect from a natural cloth, which suits the printed motif beautifully. The design repeats at approximately V 15cm / H 15cm, creating a steady small-scale rhythm of curved leaves and dotted berries across the width. Its blue notes are muted and weathered rather than bright, sitting over an oatmeal-cream ground that keeps the pattern calm and easy to live with. At approximately 135cm wide, it is a practical fabric for both curtains and upholstered pieces, with care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM noted.

How to use it

This cool, dusty blue works well with bleached timber, painted white joinery and slipcovers, adding pattern without overwhelming a room. It is especially pleasing in country-style curtains, relaxed armchairs or a softly upholstered headboard.
