About this fabric

Part of the Bampton collection by Colefax and Fowler, this fabric is woven in a 61% viscose, 19% cotton, 11% linen and 9% polyester blend with a width of approximately 139cm. The cloth shows no visible repeat, which gives the colourway a clean, uninterrupted look across larger areas. In this Old Blue shade, the tone is cool and washed-back rather than bright, with a gentle silvery softness that keeps it feeling easy and refined. The subtle slub and fine weave add texture without turning the surface busy, making it suitable for schemes that need colour but not pattern.

How to use it

Use it on a tailored armchair, cushions or relaxed curtains where the soft blue-grey can cool warmer woods and stone. It sits especially well with off-white, pale oak and deeper navy accents.

A quietly weathered blue that layers easily with linen neutrals and painted woodwork.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
