Leaf Stripe Old Blue

Ashmead Block Prints FabricF4749-01

Leaf Stripe Old Blue has a delicate, small-scale stripe effect that reads as quietly patterned rather than bold. The old blue motif sits on a pale ground, giving the fabric a faded, airy finish.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this fabric has a dry, natural handle that suits relaxed interiors. The repeat is approximately V 21cm / H 137cm, with a width of about 137cm, so the slim stripe runs with a calm, uninterrupted rhythm across the cloth. In this colourway, the blue is softened and slightly greyed, which keeps the leaf-and-stripe detail light and understated. The overall effect is fresh but muted, with enough character for curtains and general upholstery use where a gentle pattern is wanted.

How to use it

Use it to bring a cool, English-country note to blinds, cushions or an occasional chair. Its softened blue tone pairs especially well with chalky whites, pale wood and other washed-out neutrals.

A quietly faded blue stripe that works beautifully in layered country schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
