Alder Pale Blue

Bampton FabricF4884-07

Alder Pale Blue is a quietly textured woven cloth in a cool, misty blue that reads soft and airy in the light. Its fine herringbone-like surface gives the colour a gentle movement rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

This Bampton fabric from Colefax and Fowler has a subtle micro-chevron weave visible across the cloth, with the pale blue ground lifted by a soft ivory-grey mix of yarns. The 140cm approximate width makes it practical for a wide range of interior projects, while the 51% cotton, 16% polyester, 14% viscose, 12% linen and 7% wool composition gives it a balanced natural look with a refined handle. With no repeat in either direction, the pattern is understated and easy to tailor across larger pieces. The overall effect is свеж airy and restrained, with just enough texture to stop the pale blue from feeling cold.

How to use it

Use this pale blue alongside chalk white, weathered oak and brushed nickel for a calm, tailored room. It works especially well on compact upholstery or relaxed curtains where the soft weave can be appreciated up close.

A soft, versatile blue that brings a calm tailored feel to upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
