Bampton Blue

Bampton FabricF4888-05

Bampton Blue shows a small, regular damask motif set closely across a pale ground, giving the swatch a crisp, orderly look. The blue reads as softened denim rather than bright navy, so the pattern feels calm and tailored.

About this fabric

Bampton Blue from the Bampton collection is a 142cm-wide fabric with a repeat of approximately V 12cm and H 36cm. Its composition of 34% Linen, 28% Viscose, 22% Polyester and 16% Cotton gives the surface a slightly dry, woven handle with a subtle refined sheen in the blue motif. The design appears as a compact damask in muted blue-grey against a light ivory ground, which keeps the pattern readable without becoming heavy. It is suited to upholstery or drapery, and the quiet contrast makes it easy to place in rooms that need pattern without visual noise.

How to use it

Use this blue colourway on a pair of simple curtains or a tailored armchair where the small damask can be appreciated at close range. It works especially well with chalky paint finishes, pale woods and restrained navy accents.

A neat small-scale pattern that brings a crisp, tailored feel to seating or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
