Speckle Denim

Sgraffito II FabricHAF0133-05

Speckle Denim combines cool denim-blue yarns with lively ivory flecks in a densely woven, tactile surface. The irregular texture gives the colourway a softly mottled depth rather than a flat blue appearance.

About this fabric

This substantial 558gsm textile is well suited to upholstery, with a usable width of 138cm and a standard length of 30m. Close-up, the surface is formed from small broken blue and ivory marks, creating a compact, bouclé-like woven effect with no obvious directional motif. The denim ground reads muted and slightly softened by the pale threads, while the uneven flecking catches the light across the surface. Its recorded pattern repeat is 0cm vertically and 0cm horizontally, making the textured field straightforward to position across upholstered forms; the fabric has 25 threads per centimetre.

How to use it

Pair Speckle Denim with chalky whites, pale oak and brushed metal for a cool, relaxed scheme, or use it on a tailored armchair to add depth without introducing a strong graphic pattern. Its blue-and-ivory balance also works well with soft grey and natural linen tones.

Use this cool denim-and-ivory weave to bring tailored texture to seating, headboards or occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
