Keston Blue

Brett Weaves FabricF4641-06

Keston Blue is a finely textured woven fabric with a small geometric rhythm and a cool, softly weathered blue ground. The surface reads as layered and tactile, with lighter threads lifting the pattern against the denser blue structure.

About this fabric

Keston Blue from the Brett Weaves collection by Colefax and Fowler is an approx. 140cm-wide fabric with a vertical and horizontal repeat of about 3cm. Its composition of 36% Cotton, 29% Viscose, 22% Polyester, 12% Linen and 1% Acrylic gives the cloth a balanced, slightly slubby handle that suits both upholstery and drapery use. Visually, the colourway sits in a muted denim blue with pale chalky notes and a soft grey undertone, so it feels cooler and more restrained than a brighter navy. The woven structure creates a small-scale basketed effect that adds depth without reading busy, making the cloth feel crisp and tailored. Care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Keston Blue on a pair of armchairs, a headboard, or relaxed curtains where its cool blue-grey tone can sit comfortably with oak, limestone and brushed metal. The small-scale weave keeps it smart, so it layers well into schemes that need pattern without high contrast.

A cool, textured blue that works well on tailored upholstery or neat curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
